Around 1:30 AM, Jordyn and I wrapped our promo shoot for our feature film project that we have so cleverly labeled 'Untitled' for the time being. I'm pretty sure our lack of sleep made us out to have an IQ of 5 when our entire crew heard us yelling something along the lines of "We did a thing! A thing that came from our brains and into real life." Which to be quite honest, is probably the most articulate I've been in weeks...
I've been bouncing back and forth between projects. Getting my plays ready to submit for publication, wrapping two films, potentially traveling to LA, trying not to spend all my money at Trader Joes or Sephora, and trying to green light my feature with Jordyn while talking about further plans for Desert Bloom Productions. So, it's not like I've been busy or anything. I should probably change the title of my blog to 'The Lazy Creative', am I right?! *crickets*
But all in all, the lack of sleep and overall anxiety of living in my parents basement and eating cat food for the rest of my life (or at least until I pay off my student loans) has been worth it. The collaborative nature of film is almost intoxicating and I couldn't imagine a better way to spend an evening.
I'm ridiculously excited to upload more details on our project as we get closer to our fundraising goals. But for now, all I can say is that this is the most excited I've been about a production in a long time.
